EMPI EPC 32/36F progressive dual barrel carburetor kits offer the best of performance and economy for your VW. The carburetor features a 32mm primary barrel for cruising and when you step on it a second 36mm barrel opens progressively to offer more performance. Recommended for displacements up to 1,700cc, the carburetors are test run and adjusted for smooth performance out of the box. The newly designed intake manifold has a stock-style mount at the bottom to bolt the case stud to appease those that don't like running the additional brace. EMPI's selection of cylinder heads includes dual port GTV-2s and stock units for your air-cooled VW engine. GTV-2 dual port cylinder heads are available with different specs to out-class the competition. Each head offers aluminum alloy construction with beefed-up intake and exhaust ports to allow massive porting without the need for welding, and a 3-angle performance valve job. GTV-2 dual port heads are assembled with 40 x 35.5mm stainless steel Manley valves, single or dual Hi-Rev valve springs, chromoly retainers, hardened keepers, rocker, exhaust and intake studs. They have 12mm 3/4 in. spark plug holes. EMPI stock dual port heads are offered complete or "bare". Both have 14mm 1/2 in. spark plug holes, are SCORE-approved, and include rocker, exhaust, and intake studs. Complete heads also include 85.5mm bores assembled with 35.5 x 32mm OEM OSVAT stock valves, stock valve springs, steel retainers, and hardened keepers. Bare heads hardened seats and silicon bronze valve guides installed. Select the EMPI cylinder head needed for your engine.

These dog-house-style fan shrouds have a painted black finish, come without the heater duct connections, and feature nine internal, air directional baffles to ensure proper airflow over the engine. For an air-cooled Volkswagen engine, these types of fan-shrouds are critical to prevent overheating. With doghouse-style shrouds, the oil cooler sits behind the shroud and is offset from the fan in its own compartment (the "doghouse").
