Designed for serious street and sportsman race engines, the H-beam rods are forged and CNC-machined from certified 4340 high tensile steel. They are heat-treated using a special process to ensure strength and reliability, then fully stress-relieved and shot peened to ensure no stress risers remain.

On the dyno, this cam registers gains of 71 horsepower and 62 lbs.-ft. of torque at 6,000 RPM with the engine still pulling strong all the way to 7,000 RPM. In addition to the extra power, this grind delivers an additional 1,500 RPM of usable operating range while maintaining a mild mannered feel.

Turn Your Early Fox Body into a Pro Touring Hero with Andrew Schenk Pro Touring Fox 1986 Mustang Parts Combos
Andrew Schenk has loved Fox Body Mustangs since he was a kid riding around in his dad’s 1985 GT. His mom wouldn’t let him have the car when it came time to sell it, but being the patient type, Andrew waited until he found the perfect Fox in 2015. For the princely sum of $5,000 he got a 1986 Mustang GT that was rust-free and other than a cold air intake, completely stock.
The car didn’t stay that way very long. Andrew leapfrogged about a dozen levels and built a Pro Touring hero complete with a 427 cubic inch, twin-supercharged 351W, air ride suspension, big brakes—the whole nine yards—while retaining the classic ‘four eye’ look.
