EMPI Counter-Weighted Crankshafts

The heart of any hi-performance engine is the crankshaft. EMPI's counter-weighted crankshafts provide several benefits, including reduced crank-flex, harmonics, and vibration for smoother operation, as well as higher RPM performance. With a forged steel construction and nitriding, which also adds to their strength and performance for use in high-performance applications, the crankshafts are precision ground, micro-polished, and dynamically balanced for consistent performance. Other features include cross-drilled and chamfered oil holes and radiused standard/standard VW journals.
