LS is More: Eric Ritz’s 1973 Datsun 240Z
Few would argue that the Datsun 240Z isn’t an all-time great sports car. It has it all: a racing pedigree, striking silhouette, nimble handling, tire-shredding power…okay, scratch that last one. While the original Z could show its taillights to many contemporary sports cars, the performance from its 150 hp straight-six is a bit tepid nowadays. Fortunately, Eric Ritz and his father Larry found a cure for the Datsun’s horsepower deficit in the form of a 6.0L LS2 and T-56 transmission plucked from a 2006 Pontiac GTO.

He spent his childhood building with LEGO® bricks; not cars. He grew up watching TV-famous builders like Chip Foose, Dave Kindig, and Aaron Kaufman. And these days, he designs components from scratch using CAD software and produces them with CNC-machined precision.

Straight Outta Utah: Dalton O'Neal's 1971 AMC Javelin SST
Gearheads are a sentimental lot. Most every project has a story, memory, or other emotional attachment to it. It could be the car the builder wanted since they were in short pants, the first car they owned, or the one that got away years ago. Often it’s a reminder of wrenching with dad or vehicular shenanigans committed with high school buddies.
For Dalton O’Neal, it was his father’s enthusiasm for the AMC Javelin that led to building this 1971 AMC Javelin SST.

The Original Outlaw Racer: The Big Red Camaro
The legend of the Big Red Camaro stretches back to 1987 when the father-and-son team of Dan and R.J. Gottlieb set out to build the ultimate muscle car. The recipe was simple: take a stock 1969 Z/28, weld in a roll cage, and stuff an 800 hp Lingenfelter big block under the hood. Unsurprisingly, the car dominated at top-speed and road-racing events until a wicked 150 mph crash at the Mexican La Carrera Classica. Fortunately, R.J. and his co-driver walked away, but the Camaro came home in pieces
