Put mine on a ‘69 Plymouth Fury II that had 14’s. New disc brakes required a 15 or larger. Got 15x7 and they fit no problem. To be safe, ask a brake specialist. Worked great for me.

American Racing VN501 Gloss Black Machined Wheels 15x7 (VN50157034500) will accept clip-on weights, but adhesive/stick-on weights are recommended if you want to avoid marring the gloss black/machined finish. Use only the correct alloy-wheel clip style if clip-on weights are installed.

Asked by PETER on 8/28/2020
I put these rims on a 1982 El Camino. Unfortunately, long before I ordered these rims I had ordered chrome acorn, 13/16" nuts to put on whatever wheels I was going to purchase. Just this past week I put the new wheels and tires on and found that the acorn nuts are nearly too wide to allow anything but a thin walled deep socket to tighten them down. And that is only if I don't insert the socket too far down on the acorn nut or the socket will get stuck in the wheel. So, while I have them on now, I know I am going to have to go to another type of lug nut beside these chrome acorn nuts. Or else, carry a breaker bar and a socket for a lug wrench. Hope this helps steer you away from acorn nuts. But don't have a solution, as yet, for what to use and what would look good. The acorns do look good on the wheel, though.

The wheel does not come with a trim ring. If you wish to spoil the appearance of the wheel you could purchase them from numerous vendors.. but I wouldn't, they look great the way they are. I've got a big box of trim rings that I'll be selling in a garage sale real cheap.

No, it's all one piece. This has the chrome on the wheel unlike the originals that put the trim ring over the raw part of the wheel to make it look like chrome. If you're not wed to only original equipment, these look great.

I purchased these wheels to replace my stock 14 inch wheels on my 70 Chevelle SS. 15x8 for rear and 15x7 for the front. They look amazing and no issues with fitment what so ever. I did have to grind the tabs on the SS caps to get the stock caps to fit but wasn't hard to do.

Thank you for your question. American Racing VN50177012500 will not work for your application. You will need to use a wheel with a 5x4.75 in. bolt pattern. You will need to measure wheel width, backspace and tire size to verify fitment. The VN501 are a 1 piece wheel and the VN500 is a 2 piece wheel.

Yes, as long as the factory lugs are 60 degree conical seat they should work. Standard for many GM factory steel wheels. I did have to buy an extra-thin wall, impact, deep well socket as a standard thickness socket won't clear.

Most any 1/2 x 20 nuts will work. However I purchased spline drive nuts so the diameter would be smaller. The nuts are recessed in the wheel and did not want to scratch. I purchased mine from Amazon.

At this time the only wheel center cap we offer that is specific to the American Racing VN50179034500 wheel is the replacement American Racing 4500100011. However, we do offer the OER 3956772 wheel center cap emblem with an adhesive backing. Some trimming may be required for a proper fit.
