Proform offers specialty tools to make harmonic balancer installation easier. Just thread the proper end into the crankshaft, and then rotate the nut pressing the bearing against the balancer. This in turn will slide the harmonic balancer onto the crankshaft smoothly. The tools are available in more than a dozen balancer bolt thread sizes, for universal or year/make and engine-specific applications.
