Icon testing revealed a weakness in the OE suspension on 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma vehicles--the front upper shock mount and shock stem bushing may fail under hard use. So, they developed a remedy specifically for this issue to prevent such damage.

Icon Vehicle Dynamics coilover top plate reinforcement kits support and strengthen the factory upper shock mount and will also capture and retain the shock stem bushing, if a failure does occur. The reinforcement is quick and easy to install, as there is no need to jack-up the vehicle or remove the tire. Simply remove the three coilover top mount nuts, install the Icon top plate reinforcement, and re-torque the nuts. These kits do not affect or limit factory suspension operation or performance.

Icon Vehicle Dynamics coilover top plate reinforcement plates are CNC-machined from 6061 T-6 billet aluminum.
