Altronics Wind Meters
Altronics wind meters enable you to measure weather conditions where it really matters--at the track! These pocket-sized wind meters feature a large liquid crystal display which is easy to read; it offers operating modes for wind speed, average wind speed, and maximum wind speed. To measure wind speed, the meters rely on precision ultra-light anodized aluminum impellers mounted in jewel bearings. The impeller yields high accuracy and a low startup speed (0.3 M/S). The meter is waterproof and floats, and it can be changed at any time, with choices to suit a range of applications: knots meters per second, kilometers per hour, miles per hour, or feet per minute.
