Altronics PerformAIRE Eclipse weather stations can measure the density of air in the atmosphere. These PerformAIRE computers contain a database that stores runs and then uses this data to automatically predict ETs and throttle stop settings. The predicted values are continually updated with each new sample of air, and the density altitude will be stored with each run. The stored runs are also tagged with a time and date stamp to allow for later referencing. These Altronics PerformAIRE Paging Weather Centers are stand-alone systems using a remote sensor housing that can be located outside the trailer in the open air. The sensor housing is an aluminum white powdercoated extrusion with dual internal fans to keep fresh air moving for accurate air measurements. The control console can be mounted inside the trailer, where run and weather data can be entered and monitored using the data entry keypad and backlit LCD display. The Weather Centers monitor temperature, absolute barometric pressure, relative humidity, vapor pressure, and dew point. Not only do they record up to two wideband oxygen sensors, they also record engine rpm and have a programmable warning output to protect against detonation. The systems feature a backlit display, one wideband O2 sensor, a warning output, and software. The warning output can be used to activate a warning light, enable fuel enrichment, shut down nitrous, or retard timing. Altronics wind meters enable you to measure weather conditions where it really matters--at the track! These pocket-sized wind meters feature a large liquid crystal display which is easy to read; it offers operating modes for wind speed, average wind speed, and maximum wind speed. To measure wind speed, the meters rely on precision ultra-light anodized aluminum impellers mounted in jewel bearings. The impeller yields high accuracy and a low startup speed (0.3 M/S). The meter is waterproof and floats, and it can be changed at any time, with choices to suit a range of applications: knots meters per second, kilometers per hour, miles per hour, or feet per minute. The units also display the temperature. The hard case slips on and off easily, protecting the display and all moving parts.
