It has long been recognized that thin rings make more horsepower due to a reduction in friction and better ring sealing, and many piston manufacturers offer standard, thinner ring grooves for this reason. Unfortunately, the choices for thinner ring packages are expensive and often made of inferior materials.

Total Seal TFX piston rings utilize proprietary ring manufacturing processes, high-quality 440B stainless and 9000 Series steel, and Total Seal's proprietary C56 face coating. The result--a high horsepower and torque per dollar ratio, with decreased wear and oil consumption (when coupled with a properly honed cylinder bore).

Total Seal TFX ring sets come in two ring thickness packages covering most domestic and import applications. Select the proper bore size and groove dimension needed for your application.
