Direct Sheetmetal Rear Floor Panels

Direct Sheetmetal rear floor panels are made out of quality 16-gauge (.060 in.) cold-rolled steel that is hand-formed in DSM's shop. Like all Direct Sheetmetal parts, they are designed so the average hot rod enthusiast can install them in their own garage or workshop.

Although DSM floor panels do not typically require trimming, every car is different and some may need the extra step. Floors usually include six or seven pieces. If the primary floor panels are not positioned exactly where Direct Sheetmetal techs placed them when they produced their templates, some trimming will be necessary. DSM rear floor panels are made to overlay other parts, so trimming is OK. In this case, bigger is definitely better—it's harder to add material than to remove it.
