Development of the CCS quick-release oil catch can took years in its creation and included ANSYS Fluent CFD simulations, extensive bench tests, and on-vehicle street and track tests. The CCS quick-release oil catch cans are durable, virtually indestructible, made from high-quality, reliable components, and as with any Improved Racing product, nothing will vibrate loose or come apart under racing conditions. Product details: * The CCS features tangential entry port for cyclonic separation for maximized efficiency—separates as much vapor from crankcase blow-by fumes as possible with minimal restriction * Other features include stainless steel filter with multiple filter seals, primary seal, bell mouth exit plenum, anti-splash-back funnel with spiral drain groves, and 7.0 fluid oz. or 3.5 fluid oz. reservoir * Easy to use—in every aspect including mounting, draining, and cleaning * Designed to maximize air-oil separation efficiency, with a peak efficiency of 85 to 90 percent—significantly higher than any of the competitor's catch cans Improved Racing tested, which had peak efficiencies of no more than 60 percent * A drain plug and -6AN ORB drain port adapter fitting are both included * Features two universal mounting bracket options: 90-degree or flat * Fast and flexible mounting bracket system makes for easy to use and removal for tight engine bays—remove the can in seconds by unscrewing the green nut—installing and positioning is just as quick and easy and if a little more leverage is needed, just use a 5/8 in. or 16mm open end wrench on one of the nut's lobes * Quick-release reservoir is so easy to remove that it eliminates the need for a sight glass for improved durability at higher operating temps—plus you don't have to struggle to interpret a hard-to-read sight glass to check your fluid level, simply remove the quick-release reservoir and look inside * A powerful wave spring keeps the reservoir locked in place * A safety lock clip is also included to provide peace of mind for crash protection or track events where a positive lock mechanism is required—push to insert, pull to remove * The CCS is perfect for recirculated, OEM style PCV systems, and it can also be used in vent-to-atmosphere applications by adding the optional CCS-40 filter attachment (sold separately)
