EMPI offers leak-proof pushrod tubes designed to fit a wide range of air-cooled Volkswagen engines, including the 1200cc to 1600cc models found in the Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and Type 2 Transporter. The benefit of these pushrod tubes is the prevention of oil leaks, achieved through an O-ring seal that provides a positive, leak-free seal and is reinforced by a spring-loaded design or O-rings with stainless steel springs to maintain constant tension. These pushrod tubes allow for quick replacement of damaged or leaking ones, often without needing to remove the engine or cylinder heads, making them ideal for both quick repairs and permanent installations. Their construction often includes heavy-duty aluminum, which is both strong and corrosion-resistant, with some high-performance versions featuring larger inner diameters that allow for increased pushrod clearance. EMPI Forged Rocker Arm Assemblies
These superior quality forged rocker arm assemblies from EMPI are just the answer for mild street or competition engines. They provide enhanced engine strength and performance through the use of durable, high-strength materials and advanced lubrication designs. The rocker arms are manufactured from forged chromoly steel and are precision ground and heat-treated. Alloy adjusting screws are drilled through, ensuring both the screws and rocker arms are fully lubricated. All associated parts, including shafts, blocks, and shims, are made from high-strength alloy. Precision ground bronze bushings with through-hole lubrication ensures that premature failure of the old needle bearing rocker arm design is a "Thing of the Past". These assemblies come as complete kits with all the necessary hardware for a straightforward install process. Note: Requires cut-to length pushrods to set correct valve train geometry.
