Turbosmart's much anticipated Gen-V electronic wastegates are available in Hyper-Gate (45mm, 120 psi) and Power-Gate (60mm, 80 psi) models. The Gen-V external line introduced modular architecture, allowing a rotatable diaphragm housing, optional water cooling, and the ability to swap actuator housings between gate sizes. These new models offer all the flow and interchangeability—with the kind of control never seen before, independent of any reference signal, without the need for compressed gas or boost lines. They're fully adjustable from your tuning interface; no need for changing springs. Boost control is completely adjustable from your laptop. As boost control strategies become more complex, Turbosmart engineers wanted a solution that maintains all the performance and reliability of the Gen-V range—and adds truly infinite control. These electrical wastegates operate on a current draw while providing fast and efficient boost control against up to 80 psi drive pressure (for the eWG60) and over 120 psi (for the eWG45). The Ford F-150 EcoBoost intercooler and blow-off valve performance packages from Turbosmart are direct bolt-on upgrades for the factory units. Turbosmart Gen-V Comp-Gate electronic wastegates are built on the successful, class leading Gen-V Comp-Gate 40 architecture. Starting with a Turbosmart Gen-V wastegate body, you can be confident the mounting orientation will match your existing manifold and outlet hardware. The Gen-V Comp-Gate 40 already had class leading flow capacity and heat handling characteristics. There are no springs, no hoses and no boost reference signal, nor any of the limitations associated with any of them. Gone, are minimum boost levels associated with base spring pressure or the heat related issues with hoses. If your manifold priority is good enough, you can set boost anywhere from zero up to "all of it" from your laptop or tuning interface. Turbosmart Gen-V electronic anti-lag valves are perfect for motorsport and high-performance applications featuring fully electronic actuation, removing the need for the solenoids and tanks of traditional pneumatic systems. They feature a 40mm valve diameter and purpose designed actuator housing. Multiple fittings are also supplied for ease of fitment and fabrication. The fresh air valve allows incoming charged fresh air from the turbo to be diverted safely into the exhaust manifold pre-turbine wheel with throttle at low opening angles. This allows for safer spooling of the turbocharger without potentially damaging the throttle based late combustion event style anti-lag that can induce high engine stresses and break connecting rods.
