Featuring unique collar designs and internal flow structures, they are 46 to 50 percent lighter and 25 percent smaller than the competition, while flowing 330 cfm, making Turbosmart Gen-V Race Port blow-off valves the highest flowing BOVs of their type on the market. Turbosmart StraightGate50 vacuum wastegates are zero-offset butterfly-style units that allow enormous flow and almost linear control, and unparalleled boost control throughout the entire operating range. These high-flowing wastegates are simple to use, and packed with performance, flow, and features. The zero-offset butterfly valves are subjected to exhaust drive pressure equally on both halves of the valve, which pivots centrally, resulting in a self-balanced valve against any drive pressure. This means less work is required to act against even the highest drive pressures, and a wider tuning window is possible, no matter how the valve is actuated. The increased flow is achieved through the efficiency of a straight-through valve versus a poppet-style valve where the exhaust gas must be turned 90 degrees by the valve. Turbosmart pneumatic StraightGate 50s are available in a boost-based pSG50 6 psi or vacuum-based pSG50v 6 InHg versions. Both pneumatics take the electronic eSG50 version and simplify control via a traditional boost-based or vacuum-based actuator. Select the one you prefer. Protect your turbocharged engine from harmful pressure buildup. These Turbosmart diesel blow-off valve controller kits are designed to control the pressure signal to the blow-off valve. They work by detecting a negative voltage change in the throttle position. They then energize a solenoid to vent the air out of the blow-off valve cap, causing a pressure differential between the piston of the blow-off valve and the cap, which will vent pressure from the intake system.
