Simpson F/C external air systems were designed in 1998 to provide constant flow or on-demand air to the driver in the event of a fire or accident. The composite bottle will hold 5 to 10 minutes of air, depending on the flow setting.

Simpson F/C external air systems include:

* 3,000 psi rated bottle (114 cu. in.)
* Flow control regulator
* Ball valve
* 8 ft. of fire rated hose
