Improved Racing's engine block oil galley barbell plugs feature a second O-ring that completely seals off the dirty oil from the clean oil, forcing 100 percent of the flow through the filter. Sharp corners were avoided and machined as smooth fillets to improve oil flow, while the bull nose tip helps smooth oil flow to the oil filter. The shaft diameter is smaller than the OEM plastic barbell to minimize flow restriction, and the threaded hole allows for easy removal with any 4mm x 0.7 threaded screw. When reinstalling your oil pan, take some good advice from the folks at Improved Racing--replace the oil pan gasket! Improved Racing pickup tube braces are simple, but very effective components. The billet aluminum braces improve the pickup tube O-ring seal by ensuring that equal clamping force is exerted to both sides of the oil pickup tube flange, and they use the unused extra screw hole in the oil pump to keep your pickup tube in place and leak-free, lap after lap. They are machined from lightweight 6061 T-6 aluminum, black anodized, and laser-marked. The kits include high-strength zinc coated steel 8.8 M6 flange screws. Improved Racing's C5 Corvette oil temperature sensors function identically to the factory sensors, but uses the more common 1/8 in. NPT threads and features an extended wire harness for convenience. The factory C5 Corvette oil temp sensors utilize M12 threads, which are not compatible with most aftermarket oil cooler adapters and sensor blocks. These custom units feature the same resistance curve as the factory units for accurate temperature readings with the factory gauges, but are compatible with any oil cooler adapter or sensor block that accepts an 1/8 in. NPT sensor. If you are installing an oil cooler on your C5 Corvette, this is the sensor to use!

Proper oil pan baffling is critical for improving oil control and reducing oil starvation in high performance engines. Improved Racing oil pan baffles provide effective, track-proven protection against oil starvation for road racing, drifting, autocross, drag racing, and even off-roading and rock crawling. The baffles use trap doors to keep oil around the pickup tube and provide vastly improved oil control over the stock baffles. They are sufficient to prevent oil pressure drops at up to 1.4 sustained lateral Gs in most vehicles. Even semi-dry sump systems suffer from oil aeration when the pickup tube in the oil pan sucks up air, aerates the oil, and fills the dry sump tank with foamy oil. Foamy oil is compressible and results in oil pressure drops when pumped into the engine. Improved Racing baffles help keep more oil around the pickup tube in the oil pan, reducing oil aeration and improving oil pressure. Improved Racing dual inline oil sensor manifold blocks are universal to be used in many applications. They feature large diameter passages that allow for high-volume flow and minimal pressure drop. They also permit the installation of two 1/8 in. NPT oil sensors on your oil cooler (or transmission cooler) line. The manifold blocks' flow-through design makes them ideal for monitoring both oil pressure and oil temperature, as well as being used to supply oil to a turbocharger. Two units can be used together--one before the cooler and one after--to monitor an oil cooler's efficiency and pressure drop.
