GFB's DV+ solution couldn't be simpler: keep what works and replace what doesn't. GFB expands the DV+ range with a direct-fit solution for the weak factory diverter valve used on many European vehicles. The solenoid coil itself from the factory-fitted valve is great—the ECU opens it faster than any pneumatic valve, so why replace it? The weak point, however, is the valve mechanism itself. It's the simple and essential modification for 30 percent quicker boost—utilizing proven TMS (Turbo Management System) technology to ensure dependable boost holding and optimum throttle response. Want to increase or decrease the boost on your variable vane (i.e. VNT/VGT) turbo diesel? Is the factory boost curve erratic and all over the place? Blown an engine with the factory boost control system? Then the Go Fast Bits V2 VNT boost controller is for you! It's common knowledge that some engines with vacuum operated ECU controlled VNT/VGT turbos suffer erratic boost behavior—to the point where turbo or engine failures can occur, even on completely stock vehicles. The V2 takes over from the factory ECU control and ensures a stable and repeatable boost curve, which your engine will thank you for! Cleverly packaged within a black anodized CNC-machined 6061 aluminium housing are two individual adjustment dials, each having a separate and unique adjustment function. The Atomic from Go Fast Bits has earned a reputation as being one of the most reliable and effective single-stage manual boost controllers on the market—boasting a repeatable and steady boost curve, quick rise rate, and great bang-for-buck! The Atomic Boost Controller was tested on an MY02 Subaru WRX (whose only mods were a turbo-back exhaust) back-to-back with the factory controller. A base-line power run was performed with the factory boost control, and the boost level was measured at the same time. The Atomic was then installed and set to the same peak boost level of 0.9bar (13.2 psi) so that the spool-up time could be accurately compared before and after the installation. The Atomic logged massive gains down low in the rev range, as much as 18kW (23.4 hp) at the wheels! This increase in power shows that the Atomic allows the boost to rise significantly earlier than the factory controller, which on the road represents much better acceleration from a whopping 1,700 rpm earlier in the rev range. All this without exceeding the factory peak boost level, and for a pocket-money price! It's important to note that the MY01-02 (MY02-03 in the US, GDA chassis) model responds very well to this modification, because the factory boost mapping is very conservative in an attempt to keep the torque curve flat and the power delivery linear (which totally kills the feeling that you are driving a turbo!). Note of course that boost can be increased above the factory level for more power gains, but the purpose of this experiment was only to show the improved spool-up potential on this particular model WRX. So, if you want your GDA WRX to REALLY feel lively, fit an Atomic or Reactor boost controller for the best "bang-for-your-buck" modification you can make!

Go Fast Bits Mach 2 Atmosphere Upgrade Kits

Go Fast Bits Mach 2 upgrade kits convert blow-off valves from recirculating to atmosphere venting. To vent the Mach 2 to atmosphere, you need to ensure the piston stays closed at idle and the recirc hose is plugged. The 5930 Atmosphere Conversion Kit includes a 30mm hose plug to block off the recirc hose, a trumpet to replace the hose outlet on the Mach 2 (not necessary for functionality, but makes the sound louder!), and a firmer spring. The Mach 2 is supplied with a softer spring that's suitable for recirculation venting or cars with idle vacuum of 18inHg or less. If the piston stays closed with the existing spring in the Mach 2, there is no need to swap it out. However, if the piston hovers open at idle even with the spring pre-load maxed, the firmer spring in this kit should be installed to prevent stalling or backfiring.
