Engine Works Deep Transmission Pans

Engine Works deep transmission pans offer multiple benefits for race and street use. In addition to more fluid capacity, aluminum dissipates heat, and is stronger than steel alternatives. Spacer bolts and hardware are included with each transmission pan model. Order the pan for your application needs.

Engine Works Automatic Transmission Input Shafts

Engine Works automatic transmission input shafts are high-strength, precision-engineered metal components that transmit torque from the torque converter to the internal gear sets of an automatic transmission. They serve as the primary power input, rotating at engine speed to initiate gear operation. Select the model recommended for your application. Key details: * Connects the engine's torque converter to the transmission, acting as the starting point for power flow into the gearbox * Performance upgrade: These shafts are designed to withstand higher torque loads compared to stock components, making them ideal for racing or heavy-duty applications * Typically manufactured from hardened steel or specialized alloys to prevent twisting or shearing under high-performance conditions * In RWD applications, the input shaft is driven by the converter—and drives the transmission oil pump and internal clutch packs * The shaft is located at the front of the transmission, passing through the bellhousing to connect with the torque converter

Engine Works Powerglide Rollerized Tailhousings

Engine Works Powerglide rollerized tailhousings are heavy-duty aftermarket rear housings for GM Powerglide transmissions, designed to replace the stock, bronze-bushed aluminum housing with a high performance, needle roller bearing unit. These housings are primarily designed for high-horsepower drag racing, Pro Mod, or high performance street applications. Additional details: * Instead of a traditional, friction-prone bushing supporting the output shaft, these housings use a needle roller bearing. This reduces rotational friction, improves durability under high load, and minimizes heat buildup * Manufactured from heavy-duty cast aluminum, these housings are engineered to be significantly stronger than stock, preventing breakage from high torque and chassis flex * Direct bolt-in: Designed to fit standard GM Powerglide cases and most aftermarket cases without modification, maintaining the factory 11 in. length and mount location.
