Fabricated out of 16-gauge (.060 in.) cold-rolled steel, Direct Sheetmetal toeboards are hand-formed in DSM's shop. Like all Direct Sheetmetal parts, they are designed so the average hot rod enthusiast can install them in their own garage or workshop. Some Direct Sheetmetal toeboards come in kits that include 18-gauge (.048 in.) cold-rolled transmission covers and extensions. Although DSM toeboards do not normally have to be trimmed, some may because every car is different. Direct Sheetmetal makes their toeboards to overlay other parts so trimming is OK. Since it's harder to add material than to trim it, in this case, bigger is definitely better.

Direct Sheetmetal transmission cover panels are taller and fit in the stock location. All Direct Sheetmetal parts are fabricated from 16 or 18-gauge cold-rolled steel and are hand-formed. Plus, they are designed with you and your vehicle in mind, so that you will be able to install the covers yourself in your own garage. Replace rusted transmission floor areas--patch them with cover panels from Direct Sheetmetal.
