Davis Unified Ignition offers 5.0 hot forged distributors for a variety of Ford Mustang and F-150 applications from the 1980s and '90s. Davis Unified Ignition Ford Duraspark Distributors
Davis Unified Ignition Ford Duraspark distributors are high performance units for those who want a completely stock appearing or factory-style electronic distributor. They are custom-calibrated on a distributor machine and blueprinted to provide maximum power, torque, and instant throttle response. DUI tunes the centrifugal advance using information about the vehicle and engine such as cam duration and lift, carburetor size, compression ratio, vehicle weight, and fuel octane. A super smooth advance curve assures excellent performance and mileage. The vacuum advance is calibrated for maximum fuel economy and light throttle ping is eliminated. The weak factory center bushing is replaced with a full-length bronze oil-impregnated bushing to provide increased durability and cure top-end timing fluctuation, a common problem in these distributors. Davis Unified Ignition SOS Ignition Coil Packs
Davis Unified Ignition SOS ignition coil packs feature advanced technology to pack more electrifying voltage into them for pure ignition performance. The SOS (Sultans of Spark) ignition coils are designed with increased windings to boost spark output up to 40,000 V! That is a 60 percent increase in spark energy over the 25,000 V produced by the stock ignition coils. The higher voltage, along with an increased spark duration, allows spark plug gaps to be opened up. The larger gap exposes a hotter spark in the combustion chamber for an increased burn of the fuel mixture, resulting in more horsepower and better fuel economy. Davis Unified Ignition SOS ignition coil packs also provide quicker starting, smoother idle, and excellent throttle response.
