They eliminate the need for you to weld any brake hose anchoring points onto your new, possibly already powdercoated housing. Currie offers axle bearing retainer plates for use with applications such as Explorer disc brakes. These heavy-duty late model large bearing (new style) axle retainer plates are 1/4 in. thick with an extended lip and are finished in black zinc coating. Bolt hole spacing is 3 9/16 in. center-to-center horizontally, 2 in. vertically, and holds are 3/8 in.
