Sonnax Clutch Hubs

Many Sonnax clutch hubs are designed for the extra-duty requirements of drag racing with Powerglide and other GM transmissions, for instance. Machined from a high-quality medium carbon steel forging, most hubs will accept five friction discs for the added load capacity needed in high horsepower race cars. All splines and thrust surfaces are precision-machined to exacting tolerances, and the unique lube hole pattern is designed to reduce drag on the friction discs in low gear. Sonnax clutch hubs are also available with or without lightening holes to reduce rotational weight.

These 3-shim sets permit you to limit hub end play, which is beneficial when optimizing the high clutch pack stack-up.
