They work like this: When the trans-brake is engaged, the vehicle can roll neither forward nor backward, and as you press on the accelerator, the engine can rev as high as the torque converter stall. These units are fully manual--no automatic shifting. The PG and TH400 units have low-draw (1 amp) solenoids operating pilot circuits.
