Sonnax externally adjustable low/reverse servo kits make band maintenance quick and easy. They offer an ideal way to improve reliability and make staging more consistent and predictable. Checking L/R band adjustment after repeated use is good practice. Unfortunately, OE servos with steel covers are difficult to adjust in a vehicle, so a quick check with such a servo installed is impractical for most racers. Sonnax externally adjustable servos provides an improved design that makes checks and adjustment of the L/R servo easy. Toyota locking axles are a great choice for axle swaps; 8 in. E-locker differentials are strong and versatile. Wiring a Toyota E-locker differential to work outside of its donor vehicle is possible but not as simple as just splicing a few wires. DIY instructions for this modification have been published for decades. For years, Low Range Off-Road had been selling sections of factory Toyota harnesses to be converted into universal harnesses. That process involved cutting and splicing the ends onto six-lead trailer wire. Not only is trailer wire expensive, it isn't even the correct wire gauge. When added up, the cost of a DIY harness can easily surpass $150. Put simply, making your own harness by splicing into an OEM harness is a pain in the neck! But several years ago, Low Range Off-Road embarked upon the goal of creating the best purpose-made wiring harness kit for Toyota E-Locker axle swaps. They wanted an easy-to-install harness that requires as little modification to the vehicle as possible. After a few revisions, they offer what is now the Ultimate E-Locker wiring harness kit. These harnesses are made up of OEM-grade cross-linked insulated wire. They use wire gauges that match the factory harness. Each harness is 18 ft. long and available for both low pinion and high pinion differentials. Please verify the plug shape on your differential to make sure you get the correct harness plug. Some newer low pinion differentials may have high pinion plugs. Harnesses come with either "Front Locker" or "Rear Locker" labels. * Compatible Toyota electric lockers are found in the rear of 1996-2015 Tacomas, 2007-14 FJ Cruisers, and 1996-2002 4Runners. High pinion front axles can be found on 1993-97 FJ80 Land Cruisers * Harness is supplied with (2) 15 amp fuses: (1) ATO and (1) mini fuse * Low Range Ultimate Harnesses cannot be used on 2016+ Toyota Tacomas * These harnesses are designed for dual-plug lockers that have 6 pins on the large plug and 2 on the small plug. There is a rare variant, mostly found on 2011+ Tacomas, that uses a single 8-pin plug. Single plug lockers are not compatible with the Ultimate E-locker harness.

The feed limit low valve in listed GM transmissions limits line pressure feed to the default disable solenoid and control valves. Feed limit low pressure is also connected to the boost ball system for "A" and "B" clutch control. This feed limit low valve is subject to significant side-load force, resulting in severe wear and pressure loss to the default disable solenoid and connected control valves. Such pressure loss can put the vehicle into default mode at high speeds, resulting in momentary wheel lockup, sudden downshift to 2nd gear, harsh shifts or a P0747 code. The feed limit low valve can wear out in as little as 30,000 miles, with many vehicles requiring service by 35,000 miles. A national recall from GM includes installing updated software that monitors valve performance and wear, then triggers a check engine light and reduced propulsion message 10,000 miles before failure. Vehicles are then limited to 5th gear, commonly referred to as limp mode, until the valve body is serviced to address the failed valve. Sonnax patented this drop-in feed limit low valve kit to overcome bore wear, restoring proper valve function immediately without the need or expense of replacing the entire valve body. The valve reroutes the balance circuit through an internal passage, significantly reducing the side-load force, while upgraded materials prevent future wear. * The kit overcomes drivability issues related to the GM 10-speed wheel lockup recall * Patented valve and sleeve combination overcomes bore wear and significantly reduces future side loading of the valve * Hardcoat anodized aluminum valve and wear-resistant sleeve combat premature wear * Drop-in Zip Valve parts install quickly and easily * Kit contents: -- Valve -- Sleeve -- Spring -- Retainer -- Drill -- Rivet (Note: The OE feed limit low valve is susceptible to premature wear and therefore a critical failure point. Replacing the valve is recommended even if the transmission isn't exhibiting problems and the valve passes a vacuum test.)
