Skunk2 Racing's Mega Power exhaust systems are designed to optimize engine airflow and volume through carefully selected, application-specific tubing lengths and diameters and increased wave scavenging effects for more horsepower. Skunk2 Racing Power R Exhaust Systems
A properly designed exhaust system is critical to engine performance. Skunk2's Mega Power R Exhaust systems were developed with this in mind and is based off of more than 15 years' worth of racing experience. Dyno-proven for maximum horsepower, these Mega Power cat-back systems are constructed of T-304 stainless steel, are robotically TIG-welded, and feature CNC mandrel bends for a precise fit. Skunk2 Racing Pro Series Timing Gears
An engine's camshaft must be set at their proper positions relative to the crankshaft in order to maximize horsepower. Skunk2 Pro Series timing gears will enable serious tuners to optimize horsepower and torque by being able to adjust camshaft timing in one-degree increments to allow tuners to tailor the power curve appropriately—and thanks to laser-etched timing and directional marks, precise camshaft adjustments can be made quickly and easily. Pro Series cam gears feature precision-machined, hard-anodized teeth to reduce premature wear and utilize Skunk2's signature six-bolt design that eliminates gear slip. Skunk2 Racing Ultra Series Valves
Skunk2 Racing Ultra Series valves are offered in standard and high-compression versions. They are manufactured from HNV-3 martensitic steel (intake) and EV8 austenitic steel (exhaust) one-piece forgings. The characteristics of the austenitic nickel based alloy enable high resistance to oxidation and corrosion and are designed for engines that output extremely high temperatures. Each valve is heat-treated using a proprietary process for extraordinary strength and durability, and chromium nitride coated using the physical vapor deposition (PVD) process. This coating significantly improves wear and heat resistance, as well as the friction coefficient between the valve's stem and valve guide; a necessity for engine components that demand resistance to high heat level environments.
