MSD Blaster HVC Ignition Coils
MSD Blaster HVC ignition coils are designed for high-rpm, long-duration applications, such as road course and Circle Track racing using the MSD 6 Series ignition. These units feature a 100:1 turns ratio, as well as lower primary resistance to produce high-voltage output. Windings are encased in a durable epoxy and secured with extruded brackets. They also feature a spark plug style terminal and a threaded brass primary stud. These ignition coils are CARB EO-approved and are supplied with rubber shock mounts to help them resist coil vibration. MSD Blaster HVC-2 Ignition Coils
MSD engineers drew upon their experience with Top Fuel cars and created these new HVC-2 coils for use with the MSD 6 Series Ignition Controls. These coils utilize an iron U-Core design with a segmented bobbin for improved voltage distribution. The bobbin is molded from Dupont Rynite FR946 and wound specifically to create an effective coil with incredible voltage capabilities, lightning quick rise time, and lengthy spark duration. The housing, also molded from Rynite material, features far-spaced brass primary terminals and a well-protected secondary tower for increased spark isolation. The housing is completely potted with an epoxy compound for vibration resistance and installs with sturdy vibration mounts. They're designed for use with MSD 6 Series ignitions.

MSD HVC-2 Coils

MSD 6 HVC Coils
Coils have always had to compromise voltage output against current output that is until now. MSD 6 HVC coils are exclusively designed for the HVC Professional Racing Ignition Control, and are a must to be used with MSD 6 HVC ignitions. These HVC coils deliver high voltage to ionize the plug gap, while the spark glows with high current to produce maximum voltage and energy. To accomplish this combination of higher voltage and current, MSD uses an E-core winding design, which is an efficient design where less loss occurs during transfer of electricity due to the closed core of the coil. The new Ultra 6AL Series ignition boxes deliver full MSD power in a compact, lighter package! The Ultra 6AL Series continues to use a high-speed controller that can make extremely quick compensations to the output voltage, multiple spark series, timing and rpm limits, while maintaining precise timing and accurate rev limiting. The circuits and controller of the MSD have been thoroughly filtered to create protection against Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI).
