Chevrolet Performance developed the new SuperMatic 6L80-E 6-speed automatic transmissions with upgraded internal components, offering an exceptional torque rating of 650 lbs.-ft. That's a 45 percent increase over regular-production versions of this same transmission. A deep first gear enables strong launch performance, while the top gear supports balanced performance on the highway. They're for use with Chevrolet Performance LS and LSX crate engines in RWD applications. Chevrolet Performance SuperMatic 6L80-E shallow transmission oil pans provide increased ground clearance for lower-profile vehicles. This is made possible as these pans are approximately 1.2 in. shorter than the standard pan originally on the SuperMatic. They are the production-style pan used originally on the Pontiac G8 and include oil fill plug (eliminating dipstick). The kits also include filter and gaskets.
