These kits help prevent torque converter damage by limiting the amount of pressure applied to it during lockup, essentially safeguarding against "ballooning" or deformation of the converter, especially in performance vehicles with high line pressures, while maintaining proper transmission function without affecting drivability. These truly equal length parallel 4-bars use a very long, perpendicular panhard bar to maximize efficiency and reduce lateral movement.
