MSD Ultra 7AL Ignition Boxes
For racers that need serious spark output, the MSD Ultra 7AL ignition boxes are the right choice. Offering industry-leading spark energy output in a compact and efficient package, the Ultra 7AL includes four step retards, three rev limits and two rpm-activated switch outputs. The Ultra 7AL also features two different power output settings that can be used for on-the-fly changes which are perfect for drag-and-drive applications. All features are adjusted using plug-in modules including the 3-step rev control and multi-step retard. The rev control gives you the ability to set one rev limit for the burnout, another for the staging rpm limit and a third for use top end engine protection in the event of driveline failure. For nitrous fans, there are four separate stages that can be activated independently yet add up together. Plus, there are two rpm activated switch outputs that can be used for air shifters, shift lights or other devices that require a perfectly timed ground trigger! MSD 7AL-3 Ignition Boxes
MSD 7AL-3 ignition boxes have been a favorite of sportsmen and racers that want adjustments at their fingertips. For nitrous fans, there are four separate stages that can be activated independently yet add up together. Plus there's an RPM Activated Switch for precise control over a circuit. These ignitions combine high-output spark energy for high-compression race engines, combined with the most popular drag racing accessories, including a 3-step rev limiter, 4-stage retards, a start retard, and an rpm-activated switch. MSD is re-launching the 7AL-3s with upgraded features, a new look, and updated internal components, including surface mount circuitry. The new 7AL-3s are easy to spot with a black anodized housing and a new adjustable start retard circuit. Racers will also be happy to learn that the ignition can now be used on 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines! MSD 7AL-2 Plus CD Ignitions
MSD 7AL-2 Plus CD ignitions have all the features of the standard 7AL-2 with the addition of a 2-step rev control and a new diagnostic LED to deliver their full power at any rpm. Their multiple spark discharge circuitry gives better throttle response, off-corner performance, smooth idle, and more consistent launches. Their built-in soft touch rev control protects your engine from damage due to over-revving and they feature accurate rev-limiting action that's smooth, without backfires or roughness, and adjustments are easily made with plug-in modules. MSD Pro Power Coils
When tested against a competitor's coil, the MSD Pro Power coils produced 33 percent more current at the plug. They have an oil-filled insulated polyester case, an extra-tall high-tension spark plug tower to stop voltage leaks, and rubber shock mounts. They're designed for drag race use only, with MSD 7 and 8 Series ignitions.
