The 2.0T EA888.4 found in the MQB EVO / MK8 platform has possibly the most underwhelming engine cover to grace the 2.0T since its inception generations back. Some vehicles even came with no cover at all due to the fact the flimsy and floppy factory cover could pop off and catch on fire. Holley's high-mount base accessory drive kits have everything pulled up and in tighter than other options. The patent-pending accessory drive incorporates the timing cover, water pump, and alternator and can also be configured with A/C and/or P/S if desired. The systems are designed to work with the factory crank pulley, as well as aftermarket damper and pulleys. Accessory drive components in the system can be configured in several different ways. For example, there are alternator options offered for different performance and electrical demands. Also, deleting the A/C and/or P/S are options. These "base kits" supply all but the components with options. If you purchase a "Holley complete kit," all these options are already chosen for the most common, cost-effective combination.
