Chevrolet Performance LT1 6.2L E-Rod long block crate engines have it all. They're architecturally similar to the LS family of small block engines, but with a unique block casting, cylinder head design, oiling system, and more. LT1 engines also combine advanced technologies—including direct-injection and continuously variable valve timing to support an advanced combustion system. Offered with a wet-sump or dry-sump oiling system, the Chevy E-Rod engine systems include the specially designed engine controller for retro-fit applications and harness needed to get the engine running. Chevrolet Performance developed the new SuperMatic 6L80-E 6-speed automatic transmissions with upgraded internal components, offering an exceptional torque rating of 650 lbs.-ft. That's a 45 percent increase over regular-production versions of this same transmission. A deep first gear enables strong launch performance, while the top gear supports balanced performance on the highway. They're for use with Chevrolet Performance LS and LSX crate engines in 2WD applications. Chevrolet Performance LSX Bowtie engine blocks are designed for the advanced competition engine builder. They feature Siamese cylinder bores and a semi-finished deck height. The blocks can accept a maximum stroke of 4.250 in., a maximum bore of 4.250 in., and can support displacements of 454 cu. in. or more. LSX Bowties feature cast iron construction with an orange powdercoat finish. They accept all Gen III and IV LS-style cylinder heads, crankshafts, camshafts, and other components. Order the model with deck height and other options needed for your application.
