XClutch Stage 1 Clutch Kits
XClutch Stage 1 clutch kits offer a variety of performance upgrades for both street and track applications. They are designed in-house and normally utilize a single plate organic, ceramic, or carbon friction disc along with an upgraded factory-style pressure plate. XClutch kits utilize a similar mechanism to the factory clutch, making them ideal enhancements for most vehicles with low to mid-level performance modifications. Stage 1 clutch kits are available in three distinct performance clutch packages—sprung, rigid solid, and steel-backed organic. Features and benefits of each: * 1A sprung organic—this range has been specifically designed for street vehicles that have minor engine and general performance modifications. These kits offer a sprung organic friction disc that allows for great drivability, while offering improved clamping force through the use of a performance pressure plate. * 1G rigid solid organic—with a rigid center version of the organic disc, this range is ideal for street vehicles and light track use. Designed around using the Sikky mount kits and components, these headers are available for several applications in mild steel, ceramic coated mild steel, or with stainless steel primaries and collectors. They are mated with a high performance pressure plate and are recommended for vehicles requiring a higher level of torque holding and heat capacity. Features: * 1C cushioned ceramic—the discs offer a dampening layer between the two friction surfaces which is clamped together as the force of the pressure plate is exerted on the disc. This dampening along with a sprung hub offers drivability despite the ceramic friction surface. These kits are ideal for track cars that require some drivability or very high-horsepower street vehicles that require the added heat capacity of the ceramic friction material. * 1B sprung ceramic—these friction discs offer a sprung center to allow for drivability and are specifically designed for track use with minor street use. MagnaFlow Universal Catalytic Converters
MagnaFlow universal catalytic converters by Car Sound form the basic building blocks for many applications. The main benefit of universal catalytic converters is that one unit may cover a wide variety of vehicle makes and models. Installing universal converters often requires the use of welding, cutting, and tube-bending equipment that is readily available to most professional installers. They are extremely well made, with features such as: * A ribbed body that minimizes expansion and distortion when the converter heats up. They form a channel that protects the cushioning mat from direct exposure to exhaust gasses, and hold the ceramic catalyst in proper alignment. * A 1/2 in. lap joint where the necks meet the body. The neck does not extend into the converter body, where it could hamper exhaust flow. * Manufactured with separate dies on different sized inlets. Putting larger neck sizes on smaller bodies would reduce the flow of the converter and the quality of the product. * A monolithic honeycomb catalyst. The ceramic is designed for maximum flow and surface area. The coating method is strictly controlled to maintain exact specifications. * Seam-welded close to the converter body for a strong, tight bond. Welding along the edge could allow the converter to expand like the folds in an accordion, allowing the catalyst to move around. * Heavier-gauge stainless steel, tip-to-tip. They do not use inferior mixed weights and materials. * An aluminized or stainless OEM-style ribbed heat shield that creates a rigid wall of protection against heat and adds to the structural stability of the converter.
