The GenX® 280 heads list of features is long, and it starts with your choice of a HIP'd (Hot Isostatic Pressed) or standard casting. This process significantly increases the casting's density for improved tensile and fatigue strength. It continues with industry leading airflow through CNC Competition Ported 280cc intake ports and Trick-Alloy™ powdered metal valve guides for added longevity. Manley Severe Duty intake valves and your choice of Extreme Duty Inconel or Severe Duty Stainless Steel exhaust valves are designed to withstand the abuse of extreme temperatures and stresses of big power adder applications. Trick Flow® by PAC Racing dual valve springs, titanium retainers, .750-inch thick deck, and 6-bolt-per-cylinder mounting pattern round out the features. Trick Flow® GenX® 280 cylinder heads for GM LS3 work with all LS3 intake manifolds and LS9/LSA blower assemblies and fit all LS head gasket and engine block combinations. Trick Flow® Twisted Wedge® Track Heat® 185 series cylinder heads are the best aftermarket heads for Ford 2V Modular engines with power adders and/or high rpm applications. The heads feature CNC-profiled Twisted Wedge combustion chambers and intake valves moved to the opposite side of the cam. These features provide dramatic increases in mid-lift airflow, piston-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-bore clearance for using higher lift cams and larger valves without altering bore size or flycutting pistons. Trick Flow engineers used the best features of OEM GM LS3 and LS7 cylinder heads, combined with their own race-winning engineering and technology, to create the GenX® 255—the ultimate ultimate square port LS cylinder head for 4.000" and larger bore engines. The heads feature fully CNC Competition Ported runners with a premium high resolution surface finish for maximum airflow and performance potential. Stock LS3 ports accommodate LS3-style intake manifolds and LS9/LSA blower assemblies. The valve angles have been changed from 15° to 12° to increase piston-to-valve clearance and allow the use of larger camshafts. The coolant holes through the head deck were redesigned to work with all LS head gasket and engine block combinations. GenX 255 heads are available with standard or 6-bolt per cylinder mounting patterns. Trick Flow GenX 255 cylinder heads are emissions-legal under CARB E.O. #D-747 for 2007-present GM vehicles with 6.2L engines. They are available fully assembled or as bare castings.
