In an ongoing quest to provide you with the performance and sound you demand, COMP Cams engineering team proudly introduces the Thumpr Series cam and lifter kits. The lobe profile and grind characteristics of these Thumpr camshafts use a combination of an early exhaust valve opening, a long exhaust duration, and a generous amount of intake and exhaust overlap to maximize the rough-idling characteristics of the cams. This gives you a seriously aggressive exhaust note without negatively impacting the power output or streetability of the engine. Thumpr camshafts are available in different grind profiles; each one will produce a rough, racy exhaust note and impressive amounts of horsepower and torque within a different rpm range. Thumpr Series cam and lifter kits deliver a substantial power increase over an identical hydraulic flat tappet grind without sacrificing reliability or ease of maintenance.

COMP Cams Evolution Series hydraulic roller lifters with Hydraulic Cartridge Technology (HCT) are revolutionary patented tappets. A combination of a self-contained hydraulic cartridge within a thick-wall lifter body and accompanying reduced oil volume that is less effected by oil aeration delivers the most consistent bleed rates between each lifter on the market. The smaller volume within the hydraulic cartridge creates one of the most responsive and quietest lifters on the market today. Startup noise is greatly reduced, and a precision-controlled bleed down rate ensures excellent performance at high RPM. Utilizing years of valvetrain design experience, the latest FEA stress analysis technology, and an exhaustive testing regiment (dyno and Spintron), COMP Cams engineering team left no detail to chance. Everything from casting techniques to valve spring clearance was scrutinized to ensure that Ultra Pro Magnum rocker arms not only lived up to the lofty standards of their predecessor, but also took stud mount rocker performance, stability, and value to a whole new level. The most noticeable advancement centers around their nearly unbreakable investment cast 8650 chromoly body. The arched, web-like design delivers a nearly 29 percent increase in strength and rigidity, while reducing the moment of inertia and optimizing the dynamic balance. The resulting rockers maximize lift and valvetrain control at high rpm. The increased retainer and valve spring clearances of the new design enable the use of large-diameter valve springs, retainers, and locks, without clearance or fitment issues. The new black oxide exterior finish offers a distinctive appearance, along with long-term corrosion resistance. COMP Cams 1/2 in. Rocker Stud and Trunnion Retrofit Kits
COMP Cams 1/2 in. rocker stud and trunnion retrofit kits provide a stiffer valvetrain to achieve maximum valve motion in SBC or BBC engine applications utilizing COMP Cams Ultra Pro Magnum or Ultra Pro Magnum XD rocker arms. They were originally designed for applications competing in the NHRA Stock Eliminator class, but are a great choice for anyone whose sanctioning body's rules do not allow stud girdles. The kits feature 1/2 in. ARP rocker arm studs, 1/2 in. trunnions, 1/2 in. polylocks, new bearings, and new snap rings. They include everything required to switch over to the new studs and freshen and rebuild your rockers at the same time. The COMP Cams 1/2 in. rocker stud and trunnion retrofit kits can also be used to retrofit COMP Cam Pro Magnum or Hi-Tech stainless steel rocker arms.
