AFR 260cc LS3 Mongoose cylinder heads are 100 percent 5-axis, CNC-ported, and feature titanium retainers, A356 aluminum castings, and Pac Racing springs. These CARB certified heads require 4.000 in. or larger bore applications on up through 454 cu. in. engines operating at or below 7,000 rpm—and flow over 380 cfm at 0.700 in. lift and are designed primarily for street and strip applications. Other structural features include Air Flow Research's trademark 3/4 in. thick head deck, reinforced rocker stud bosses, and thick wall runners provide unparalleled durability. To make big horsepower, you need heads that can flow large amounts of air--that's where AFR, the masters of airflow come in. These heads feature a 195cc intake port, 70cc exhaust ports, and your choice of 58 or 72cc combustion chambers to complement your engine. To get the fuel and air in and out efficiently, AFR uses lightweight 8mm 2.050 intake valves and 1.600 exhaust valves. The thick deck makes these heads ideal for nitrous or blower applications with the optional nitrous/blower exhaust port.
