These full-length connectors are manufactured from 1.5 in. x 2 in. x .083 in. rectangular tubing. They are optimized using CAD/CAE software to provide the ultimate in stiffness, reduced weight, and maximized surface area between the subframe and connector. Stifflers subframe connectors feature crimped and welded tube ends to seal out moisture, while also increasing strength, and a laser-cut cross brace that reduces free span, reinforces the floor pan, and minimizes required welding during installation. All is given an industrial-grade powdercoat for long life. Welding areas are pre-masked, so no removal of powdercoat is needed before installation--a real time-saver!

General Motors' tailshaft mounted design works great for a stock-driven vehicle; however, it is not designed to take abuse and hard launches. UMI Performance torque arm relocation kits replace your transmission crossmember with a new, stronger setup with a built-in torque arm mount. Each relocation kit is designed to fit a specific transmission and will work with virtually any stock-style aftermarket torque arm, as well as with the factory torque arm. These units are built using rectangular mild steel tubing and 0.188 in. mild steel mounting plates and they include all hardware needed for installation. The torque arm mount is machined from 0.250 in. thick mild steel and features a new clamshell for appropriately attaching the torque arm to the new crossmember.
