Developed with advanced computer-aided engineering simulation tools, Ford Z2 aluminum heads feature their unique Velocity Vane intake port design that delivers outstanding street/strip power. These high performance cylinder heads are direct bolt-ons for Ford 289/302/351W engines, and they retain OEM exhaust, intake, and accessory mounting locations. Ford Z2 Velocity Vane cylinder head specs: * Cast from prime 356 T6 aluminum * Heads retain Ford OEM intake and exhaust port location and flange * Velocity Vane in port floor directs airflow around the valve stem, leading to more horsepower and torque throughout the full power range * 20 degree inline valve angle * Premium stainless steel valves: 2.05 in. intake, 1.60 in. exhaust valves * PAC 1219X conical-style valve springs with machined retainers and 10 degree machined valve locks--most hydraulic cams can be used with these springs * Valve spring closed pressure: 145 lbs. at 1.800 in. * Valve spring open pressure: 358 lbs. at 1.175 in. * Coil bind at 1.100 in., 0.650 in. max lift * Includes laser-cut guide plates for use with 5/16 in. pushrods and 7/16 in. rocker studs * Steel alloy intake and exhaust valve seats * Manganese-bronze valve guides * 63cc combustion chamber

They also include hardened seats, bronze valve guides, and fully machined valve cover rails for a more consistent gasket seal. They offer improved power throughout the rpm range for greater throttle response and top-end horsepower. The intake and exhaust runners are CNC-machine profiled for superior flow and performance.
