Hybrid Racing K-Swap Cold Air Intake Systems
Hybrid Racing offers K-Swap cold air intake systems for a variety of applications, including select Honda© and Acura© cars from 1992 and up. These replacements are true 3 in. intakes that do a better job of keeping your intake charge cool and your engine bay looking hot. The most obvious feature on these intakes is the 100 percent glass-reinforced silicone construction. By using silicone, Hybrid created an intake that actually insulates the air going into the engine. For K-Swaps, this is particularly important since most setups put the cold air intake directly behind the radiator. What many people don't consider is that since aluminum is such a fantastic thermal conductor (hence why it is used in radiators), an aluminum cold air intake will actually absorb heat given off by the radiator. This increases the intake air temperature while decreasing the motor's performance. The silicone counteracts this by acting as a thermal barrier (much like header wrap); this leads to lower intake air temps and a denser intake charge. Another benefit of the silicone construction is that there's no need for a coupler at the throttle body. The intake connects to the throttle body with just a single T-bolt clamp, meaning less turbulence as air enters the intake manifold. A less noticeable but very important feature of these intakes is that they work with RBC, RRC, and PRB intake manifolds. Most competing K-Swap intakes work with either the PRB intake manifold or the RBC/RRC intake manifolds, but not both. Hybrid took the extra time to create an intake that would work with all three! On top of that, the kits are designed to work with OEM K-Series throttle bodies AND big bore throttle bodies. The included T-bolt clamp is custom designed to fit both applications. And who can forget about looks! Everyone knows that with K-Swaps, making power and going fast is the name of the game, but looking good while you do it doesn't hurt either. That's why Hybrid Racing made this one of the cleanest looking intakes on the market. When installed, only the intake tube and a single T-bolt clamp are visible. The hanger that attaches to the chassis is neatly tucked into the driver's side fender for the cleanest install possible. Wilwood SRP Drilled Performance Brake Rotors
For custom, show, and high performance sport driving, SRP rotors offer the high-tech look and improved performance of a directional cross-drill and face slot pattern. The venting and cleaning action of the holes and slots reduce pad glaze, disperse gasses, and decrease heat generated at the pad-to-rotor interface. The holes and slots also inhibit irregular pad compound buildup on the rotor faces, resulting in smoother engagement and improved pedal response in all conditions. The material removed also contributes to lower rotating and unsprung weight. Each rotor is precision-machined to less than .001 in. tolerances for overall flatness, parallelism, and radial run-out on long-grain carbon-iron castings. The rotors are finished with a black electro coat or silver zinc wash finish to provide corrosion resistance. Radium Engineering fuel pump hangers permit the use of one, two, or three aftermarket pumps in the stock MK4 Toyota Supra (JZA80) fuel tank. To reconnect the OEM return and vent hoses, 8.5mm barb fittings are also included. No permanent modification to the OEM fuel tank access cover is required. The custom designed stainless electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are properly sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. The low-profile design keeps all wiring tucked nicely underneath the OEM fuel tank cover using the provided foam insulation. Nonconductive acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuits. The high quality in-tank wiring is insulated with chemically resistant ETFE. Electrical hardware is included for the fuel pump(s), OEM level sender, and OEM temperature sensor. One issue with all Supra fuel pump hangers is the lack of fuel starvation protection. In these kits, the flow from the FPR return line powers a Radium jet pump. Using a venturi-effect, this "mechanical" pump draws fuel from outside the sub-tank and distributes it directly to the pump inlets.
