These high-quality long tube Tri-Y swap headers are made from 304 stainless steel and feature 3/8 in. thick flanges, 18-gauge with 1 7/8 in. primary tubes, and 3.00 in. collectors. Leak-tested for maximum performance, they feature the industry's best welds for durability and are carefully engineered for precise fit. Available for a wide range of applications, they're offered in block hugger, competition, fenderwell, lakester, long tube, mid-length, shorty, upright, and turbo styles. Varying with the application, Flowtech headers are constructed from sturdy and lightweight cold-rolled mild steel or stainless steel for increased strength and durability. All tubing is mandrel-bent to provide consistent tubing diameter for smooth flow and increased exhaust velocity. Extra-thick, machined header flanges provide a leak-free seal and maximum strength. For long-term rust and corrosion-resistance, available finishes include natural and polished stainless steel, high heat-resistant black paint, or a satin silver metallic ceramic thermal barrier coating. All mounting hardware and premium gaskets are included. Important notes: Breaking in an engine with ceramic coated headers WILL result in damage to the coating and will VOID all warranties. Ceramic coated headers require several heat cycles to fully cure before they will withstand extreme heat. Summit Racing™ split lock bolt kits put a new twist on the theory of mechanical locking fasteners. These innovative bolts use a locking set pin built into the bolt itself—and when tightened, the set pin expands the bolt threads against the thread wall. This, in turn, provides a locking system without having to use any additional wires, locking compounds, or lock washers. To remove the split lock bolts, simply loosen the set pin and back out the fastener. They are available in a variety of thread sizes, for engine applications from the 1950s and up.

Stage 8's Grade 8 locking header fasteners use a patented system that consists of a grooved hex-head bolt or nut, a retainer, and a snap clip. The retainer fits over the bolt head and locks the bolt against the header tube, and the snap clip holds the retainer in place. Once Stage 8 header fasteners are tightened down, they won't back out, eliminating leakage and blown header gaskets from loose bolts.

Installing headers can sometimes be a real pain, due to the tight spaces and the location and shape of the tubes. Mr. Gasket can help make installation a little easier and also help prevent annoying exhaust leaks from under-tightened header bolts. They have both the socket-head and hex-head styles of header bolts available. Hex types are heat-treated Grade 5 steel and have smaller-than-standard heads to ease access in tight spaces. Socket-head bolts are made from stronger Grade 8 steel for added ruggedness and they're great for those really difficult-to-reach spots. Both styles have a protective black oxide finish.
