They have a patented double-hump design, so you don't have to compromise ground clearance by running pipes under the crossmember, and they're a complete bolt-on deal—no custom fabricating or realignment is needed. Detroit Speed Fox Chassis Stiffening Kits
Detroit Speed's Fox chassis stiffening kits combine their subframe connectors and their EXO Brace to deliver maximum stiffness to the notoriously flimsy Fox Body chassis. Detroit Speed subframe connectors are designed to give maximum torsional stiffness connecting the front and rear frame rails. They are fabricated from 2 in. x 2 in. x .083 in. steel tube and .090 in. plate for superior stiffness with minimal added weight, and do not hang lower than the rocker pinch flange, so ground clearance is unaffected. In addition to the front seat mounting brackets that are stronger than factory, the connectors provide torque box and lower link reinforcement. The greatest value of these DSE kits are that they fix two common Fox Body issues with a single integrated solution. Detroit Speed EXO Brace fixes a notorious failure point on the Fox Body platform--the point where the upper links mount to the chassis. Losing an upper link mount can result in unpredictable handling and is dangerous--at any speed. DSE developed an effective bolt-on (or weld-in) solution that improves the rigidity of the torque box, prevents damage to the chassis, and improves the safety of the vehicle. It ties the link pockets into the frame and floor pan on both sides and connects the two boxes side-to-side with a telescoping feature.

Detroit Speed Weld-On Subframe Connectors
Detroit Speed weld-on subframe connectors join your front subframe and rear frame rails to increase your car's stiffness. These uniquely designed DSE connectors are fabricated from thick-wall rectangular steel tubing. They are bent and TIG-welded in a fixture for accuracy and repeatability. Unlike others, these DSE subframe connectors are barely visible from underneath the car, offering maximum ground clearance. Plus, they won't interfere with seat attachment hardware or the installation and removal of the rear leaf spring pocket. And, your molded factory carpet will still fit over the subframe connectors. Detroit Speed weld-on subframe connectors can be installed on convertibles and are supplied with templates, pictures, and detailed instructions for installation.
