Looking for the ultimate set of performance spindles? Speedtech Performance AFX Performance spindles are here to get the job done! GM musclecars are known for having poor geometry from the factory. They rode relatively smooth and did well in straight line drag race situations, but high-speed cornering was less of a consideration in their designs. With today's technology, correcting these issues with control arms helps, but is only part of the equation. Speedtech and ATS have taken an entirely new approach to improving the less-than-optimal factory suspensions of the A, F, X, G and B body platforms by scratch-designing the focal point of the steering and suspension geometry: the front spindles. They will drop your ride height 1 in. for a more aggressive stance and lower center of gravity. Relocated steering arm mounting points are custom-designed for each individual vehicle to improve Ackerman and bring bump-steer numbers down to nearly zero. The spindles feature a Corvette ZR1 sealed, maintenance-free hub; it's heavy-duty, and the large bearing pack offers a stronger load capacity--able to handle the abuse of street and track driving. Speedtech Performance AFX Performance spindles and the ZR1 hub combination do not alter the factory track width or bolt pattern, allowing standard wheel fitment. UMI Performance bolt-in Viking rear coilover kits allow full ride height, spring rate, and damping adjustability. The double shear upper mount is a direct bolt-in and holds a true 2.5 in. diameter coilover spring. The FEA designed lower bracket bolts in using the standard shock mounting hole as well as an additional reinforcement hole. Drilling one 3/8 in. hole per side is required to complete installation. The coilover kits utilize Viking shocks that are 19-way adjustable in both compression and rebound to ensure the perfect setting for every application. Viking shocks are fully rebuildable. The 2.5 in. diameter coilover springs are available in 14 in. long, 110 lb. spring rate for drag use; 14 in. long, 125 lb. spring rate for street use; and 12 in. long, 150 lb. spring rate for autocross and road race applications. All-Pro Off-Road Extreme Suspension Lift Kits
All-Pro Off-Road Extreme suspension lift kits gather everything into one package that has all the "trick" parts for your factory solid axle toy. That means flexy off-road performance, positive control on the highway—and stable, predictable suspension in all driving conditions, on or off-road. This is far more than a simple bolt-on kit. It provides up to 4.5 to 7.5 in. of lift, depending on the springs used. The front axle is moved forward 1.5 in. as compared to stock; and with just minor fender trimming, it provides room for 35 in. x 12.50 tires mounted on 10 in. wide wheels. With some additional firewall work, it's possible to fit up to 38 in. tires. Due to the extra flex, All-Pro recommends switching to the wider rear axle from a 1986-95 Toyota Pickup or 4Runner. These axles have larger drum brakes and are 3 in. wider than the 1979-85 rear axles. This allows for more clearance between the tire and frame that can otherwise be a problem when running tires larger than 33 in.
