Each rod is multi-stage heat-treated, X-rayed, sonic-tested, magnafluxed, 100 percent machined, and then shot-peened to stress-relieve the metal. The rods have precision cap alignment sleeves to positively locate each rod cap, silicon bronze bushings for floating pin models—and are available in stroker models that allow additional cam-to-rod clearance for large stroke combinations. They come standard with 190,000 psi rated ARP 8740 and 230,000 psi rated ARP 2000 rod bolts, or 265,000 psi rated ARP L-19 bolts as upgrades. Instructions and rod bolt lubrication are included. Rhodes Race Cars SCCA, NASA, and Drift roll cages are made specifically for hobbyists and for serious racers looking to compete in SCCA, NASA, or Formula D events. All road race cages feature a main hoop diagonal and dual door bars (can be made into dual X-bars). They are weld-in cages and feature notched tube ends (where applicable) for ease of installation. Roll cages are offered in these materials: * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.134 in. wall ERW mild steel tubing * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.120 in. wall DOM tubing * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.083 in. wall 4130 chromoly tubing DOM tubing is very strongly recommended; ERW cages will most likely NOT pass tech inspection for most classes. Chromoly is not recommended by most sanctioning bodies. Due to different requirements for specific classes and weights, you should check with your track or sanctioning body for specific guidelines prior to purchase. It is the installer's responsibility to assure that a cage meets race organization rules as to tubing material and sizes, fit, placement of components, and welding. Note: Because of differing driver sizes and main hoop locations, roof hoop and windshield down bars are not notched. Some minor trimming may be required during installation.
