Ford Performance Parts teamed up with Jon Kaase to redesign their 429 Cobra Jet cylinder heads, and the results are these Super Cobra Jet heads. They feature revised valve angles and locations to reduce cylinder wall shrouding and improve flow, along with redesigned combustion chambers to accommodate the more centrally located valves. These heads use the same valves, valve springs, retainers, and 7/16 in. stud-mounted roller rockers as the current Ford Performance Parts 429 Cobra Jet heads, and the standard Cobra Jet intake and exhaust manifolds bolt right on. This new design offers a 25-50 HP increase over current Cobra Jet heads, depending upon displacement and camshaft.

AFR 195cc SBC Eliminator Street Heads are fully CNC-machined (combustion chamber, intake, and exhaust ports) and available in your choice of straight or angled plug versions. AFR 195cc heads feature a 75cc or 65cc combustion chamber with a 64cc exhaust port and a 3/4 in. thick head deck (ideal for nitrous or blower applications). Standard valves are lightweight 8mm, 2.050 in. intakes (competition versions are 2.080 in.) and 1.600 in. exhausts with AFR's hardened ductile iron interlocking valve seats. The valve springs included are intended for use on roller camshafts.
