Ridetech 1968-72 GM X-Body Coilover Suspension Systems

Ridetech 1968-72 GM X-body coilover suspension systems include everything you need to completely upgrade your existing suspension. They contain front upper and lower control arms, tall spindles, front MUSCLEBar, a rear 4-Link, and four HQ Series coilovers for every corner of your vehicle. The Ridetech tall spindles will induce more negative camber gain to maximize tire contact patch during cornering. They also offer a 2 in. pin drop, which allows for the use of longer shocks—creating more suspension travel. The bolt-on 4-link vastly improves traction, handling, and ride quality. Installation doesn't require any major modifications to the floor pan and requires only minimal welding to the axle tube (works with mini tubs). The R-joint rod ends combine the best qualities of low friction movement, lateral stability, full range articulation, and quiet operation into one special bearing. Ridetech 1968-72 GM X-body coilover suspension systems are as comfortable on the street as they are on the racetrack! Features, parts, and specs: * Upper Strongarms feature corrected ball joint angles for the tall spindles * Upper ball joints have been moved back to allow for additional caster setting (improves high-speed stability and steering feel; offset slugs also available for additional caster) * Injection-molded Delrin bushings with 13 percent PTFE used to reduce deflection and stiction * Lower Strongarms feature a double-sheer lower mount for increased strength * Lower shock mount dropped to increase suspension travel * Lower ball joint moved forward to increase caster settings, while keeping the wheel centered in the wheel opening * HQ Series Shockwaves allow fine-tuning and deliver excellent ride quality and handling with a 1,000,0001 mile warranty (rebound knob located on top of shock for underhood access) * Front MUSCLEBar helps reduce body roll and creates room for wider front tires (includes PosiLink end links that provide immediate engagement between chassis and control arms)

Detroit Speed Hydroformed Subframes

Detroit Speed hydroformed subframes are bolt-in replacements for the original stock subframe. They're designed to improve the handling and ride quality by utilizing Detroit Speed's unique suspension geometry. These are the only subframes in the aftermarket industry with hydroformed frame rails—which offer strength and stiffness, precise quality, and repeatability. Hydroforming preserves the steel's integrity because it's crafted at low temperatures, unlike traditional high-temperature processes which decrease material strength. Dozens of models are available for vehicles from the 1960s, '70s, and '80s. Order the package recommended for your application. Detroit Speed hydroformed subframes also include: * Stamped crossmembers * Tubular upper and lower control arms * Coilover shocks with "Detroit Tuned" valving * Coilover spring * Power rack and pinion steering * Splined sway bar * C6 steering knuckles and bearing packs
