Dyno tests showed an extra 5 hp and 9 lbs.-ft. over their own Performer manifolds. Dual-plane Performer Vortec intake manifolds are based on Edelbrock's popular Performer Series. They're intended for small block Chevy engines fitted with either 1996 and later cast iron Vortec heads or Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads. They are great for street rods, engine swaps, or industrial applications. They're set up for either square-bore or spread-bore carburetors and produce power from idle to 5,500 rpm. They have no provision for an exhaust-heated choke.

Low-profile, single-plane Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifolds are very versatile and can be used for drag racing and Oval Track competition, as well as for street applications. Power bands range from 3,500 to 7,000 rpm, on up to 4,500 to 8,000 rpm. There are applications for small block and big block engines, as well as for 2-barrel and 4-barrel carburetors. Some manifolds accept standard restrictor plates and carb adapters.
