With any older standard cab truck, getting the stock gas tank out of the cab to free up some space and move some weight toward the rear of the truck is always a good idea. Classic Performance aluminum gas tanks fit between the frame rails, are fully baffled, and are compatible with EFI or carburetors. They are made from 0.125 in. 5051 aluminum with 0.187 in. thick brackets and are the thickest on the market. Once installed, the fuel filler can pass through the bed floor, or a custom side fill can be added (requires a small C-notch in the frame). Classic Performance aluminum gas tanks are vehicle specific, install without having to move crossmembers, and you'll end up with a tank that not only looks better, but also helps your truck perform better. Classic Performance Stealth tailgate latches replace the bulky, noisy, and paint-chipping stock latch pins. Stealth pins actually mount inside the tailgate, where they are completely out of view and cannot threaten the paint. The spring-loaded locking pins are housed in a 5/8 in. housing that is mounted at both ends of the round, upper lip of the tailgate. The locking pin itself features a small center punch on the end to mark the location of the hole that will need to be drilled on the bed flange. Delete the original hooks and chains for more modern Classic Performance Stealth tailgate latches.
