With over 50 years of American-made know-how, Sanderson Headers have one of the tightest engine block fits available. These hand-assembled headers include flanges that are precision laser-cut from 3/8 in. thick steel plate. A weld bead is built up and ground to a uniform thickness that's so precise, all you'll need is a bead of Permatex Ultra Black gasket maker silicone—no gaskets are required! Plus, these headers afford you that extra bit of clearance needed for complex steering setups and narrow frame rails, while still allowing adequate spark plug clearance. Patriot Full-Length Headers
Patriot full-length chassis and fenderwell headers provide the ultimate in performance for street rods and musclecars with high performance engines. The key is their use of long primary tubes, which results in more horsepower and torque than those from the competition. Other features include a close fit with the engine block for maximum chassis and steering clearance, mandrel-bent tubing, and new gaskets and bolts. Unless otherwise noted, these headers are designed to fit the vehicle as it came from the manufacturer. This includes components like cylinder heads, chassis, steering, motor mounts, body mounts and bushings, etc. If your vehicle is using aftermarket components, parts from other applications, or custom-altered parts, then it is the installer's responsibility to verify fitment. Finishes available are: * Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating (MCTBC), which is polished with a vibratory finishing process that not only produces a high-luster aluminum appearance, but also compresses and activates the coating, which increases the surface hardness. The finish is 60 percent more corrosion resistant than an unpolished surface, easy to maintain, and will last for years under normal operation conditions. MCTBC also protects and extends the life of headers by creating a thermal barrier (heat-resistant up to 1,600 degrees F) that significantly lowers under hood temperatures and protects the substrate metal from thermal fatigue. * Hi-Temp black coating is an affordably priced alternative to their MCTBC.
