Hooker Super Competition Block Hugger headers are a great choice for your custom car, truck, or rod. Ideal for applications where the frame rails are close to the engine block. These headers feature a tucked-in tube design that's perfect for those tight-fit installations! Mandrel-bent, tuned-length primaries decrease backpressure and increase exhaust velocity, improving horsepower, torque, and throttle response. Their collectors are positioned for maximum starter and engine mount clearance; and exit parallel with the oil pan rail to allow for maximum ground clearance. Hooker Super Competition Block Hugger headers come complete with the gaskets, header bolts and collector reducers needed for a successful installation.

They feature high-low, mandrel-bent tubes to provide consistent diameters for smooth flow and increased exhaust velocity. The heavy-duty tubing and high-quality welds guarantee strength and durability. Smooth-transition, 1 5/8 in. diameter primary tubes are used for better exhaust flow--optimizing performance and throttle response, as well as broadening the torque curve. The long-transition velocity collector connects to an undercar exhaust, and the block-off plate can be removed for maximum sound output. The Flowtech Lakester Street Rod headers are TIG-welded, with machined 3/8 in. flanges for a strong, leak-free seal. They also include premium aluminum header gaskets and installation hardware.

Leak-tested for maximum performance, they feature the industry's best welds for durability and are carefully engineered for precise fit. Available for a wide range of applications, they're offered in block hugger, competition, fenderwell, lakester, long tube, mid-length, shorty, upright, and turbo styles. Varying with the application, Flowtech headers are constructed from sturdy and lightweight cold-rolled mild steel or stainless steel for increased strength and durability. All tubing is mandrel-bent to provide consistent tubing diameter for smooth flow and increased exhaust velocity. Extra-thick, machined header flanges provide a leak-free seal and maximum strength. For long-term rust and corrosion-resistance, available finishes include natural and polished stainless steel, high heat-resistant black paint, or a satin silver metallic ceramic thermal barrier coating. All mounting hardware and premium gaskets are included. Important notes: Breaking in an engine with ceramic coated headers WILL result in damage to the coating and will VOID all warranties. Ceramic coated headers require several heat cycles to fully cure before they will withstand extreme heat. Hooker recommends using cast iron exhaust manifolds or old headers to break in new engines to avoid coating damage. Flowtech does not recommend the use of header wraps as this will void the warranty.
