Transmission Specialties' 4L80E 300M extended spline input shafts have all the latest and greatest updates that make them the strongest on the market. Feed hole changes have been made to make the shaft stronger. The splines that go into the OD planet have been lengthened and the undercut shoulder which has a very small inside diameter, has been removed. TSI also used a hobb to cut this spline—as compared to others who single point cut, which makes for a weaker spline and is considered to be the number one spot of failure for other aftermarket billet shafts.
